Mar. 10th, 2006 11:59 pmCouple of recent beers:
Ironside Best Bitter (on tap). Clean amber, nice fruity nose, well rounded hops sitting in the middle of the swallow, perfectly good session bitter except that it's a wee bit high at 4.2% ABV. Notes online suggest that it has a mineral dryness: I'd say it's a little bit of a Burton feel to it, although not the aroma. Come from Hampshire Brewery.
Titanic Stout (bottle): Slightly peppery, burnt caramel, hoppy at the middle and end, dry rather than sweet. Good. Stoke on Trent. (It is in fact compulsory to say "goes down easy" here. Sorry.)
I appear to have lost both my memory and my notes for other recent beers. Tut. Now I shall have to do it all again.
Still haven't managed to find Banana Bread Beer...
