Feb. 15th, 2012 10:00 pmHave been very busy at work. Am still very busy at work, but the pleasant sunlit uplands of being no busier than is comfortable are in sight...
Went to the Ball Ring, arriving very late but getting in a hour or so of good practice. Can now fake my way through a Scrambled V thanks to a remarkably patient group of people. Stayed overnight with S. and was fed French toast and cookies in the morning. I approve of this. Did a couple of Tall Person things for her while I was there, knocking in a tack and suchlike.
Also had a good long chat, and a walk through a nature reserve a few yards from her house, and caught up quite a bit, esp. about her divorce and how she's been getting on since (papers will be through sometime this month, so I guess it's on her mind). I do still need to catch up with the other half of the divorce, who I also know and like, though.
Also have caught up with J. over a couple of beers at the Bree Louise on Monday: will be catching up with E. in the same pub in a couple of days - it's a nice pub, but a little variety is also pleasant from time to time, and it does get ludicrously crowded. But the blond chose it, so.
(I don't believe S. has been mentioned here before except possibly at the time of her wedding. J. probably has, but a bare initial is not all that informative, which is of course why I do it.)
