2) Have been making sourdough this week. Started on Wednesday and will probably be ready to bake sometime tomorrow.

4) CAMRA pub walk was a success despite a very sharp (and very cold) rainshower just at the start. Everards Tiger at the Toby - surprisingly well-kept for a plastic pub, Old Speckled Hen not very well kept at the Anchor, Everards Triple Gold at the White Horse, Elgood's Feelgood Festive at the Gordon Arms (claimed to be a December seasonal, so something not quite right there, but a very nice well-hopped amber bitter), Mansion Mild and Sidepocket (both the Tring brewery) at the Cricketers. Cricketers was much the best pub but we knew that before we started...
