I am glad I am not living under the conventions of a Victorian novel, or romance:
For we consider time spent with a friend is time spent with a friend,
Whereas in a Victorian novel time alone with a friend who happens to be a woman is deemed to be time alone with a friend who happens to be a woman but also neither of you happen to be wearing pants...

I have rhymed "romance" and "pants". My life's work is done.
