Aug. 6th, 2007 11:27 pmMany people find daily affirmations a useful tool to re-make their brains in accordance with current fashions. But the more common affirmations always seem to me to be… limited.
Today, and every day, I will not throw knives at strangers, for this requires an impractical number of knives.
Like the garden, I grow: like the oak, I persist: like the yew, I drop slow poison into the eyes of my enemies.
We bring nothing into this world, and 'tis certain we can take nothing out. But we can at least lay many, many eggs in a cellar fat with paralysed bodies before we go.
