Bit of a rubbish month, but I did start packing all the books into boxes early in the month! Hopefully they will emerge, like butterflies from the chrysalis, soon...

This April I have... pruned the figs back to a more reasonable windowsill size, transferred the sourdough starter to a different crock, failed to bake any bread, seen red kites, a grey heron up close (but not within reach of that very stabby beak, thanks), and a yellow wagtail, gone to two ceilidhs and one BJC, and not gone to Chicago (bad luck).

In early May I'm off to a conference on UK drugs policy; this has no official standing whatsoever but should be interesting. Any points you-all think are worth making while I'm there? Personally I'm strongly in favour of legalisation of most drugs and decriminalisation of personal possession and use of all drugs; the prohibition approach has simply failed.

Oh, and long-term relationship hit one year in April, so that was nice.

...not an impressive month. I've been reading the newspapers!

Annals Of The Former World is 600 pages of fun. And that was 2013, that was.

Oh, there was a christmas and a new year in there somewhere... very wet in Devon and not very wet in Leek respectively. And there was a crispy mouse.

Hope you have a great 2014!
